Eldora (Fisher) McClymonds

Eldora (Fisher) McClymonds, 92, a lifelong resident of Portersville, passed away Wednesday while in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family.

Born July 17, 1924, in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Wendell Taylor and Clara (Myers) Fisher.

Eldora was a longtime faithful and active member of the Mountville Presbyterian Church in Portersville, where she served as a deacon and had the pleasure of teaching Sunday school. She was also a member of the Christian senior group, the Keenagers and the Portersville Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

During her free time, she loved traveling with family and friends, but above all, Eldora will be most revered as a woman devoted to her family and church. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving son, Thomas D. McClymonds and his wife, Margaret of Harmony; her daughter-in-law, Neva McClymonds of Cranberry Township; her son-in-law, Richard Wallace of Florida; her brother, Leslie Fisher and his wife, Eleanor, of New Castle; nine grandchildren and their spouses; 17 great-grandchildren; and her cherished caregiver, Sally Pinkle.

In addition to her parents, Eldora was preceded in death by her husband, John Dale McClymonds; her son, John Perry McClymonds; her daughter, Barbara Wallace; her grandson, Thomas Mathew McClymonds; her sister, Mary Glenn; and brother-in-law, Dale Glenn.

MCCLYMONDS — The family of Eldora (Fisher) McClymonds, who died Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2016, will welcome friends from 10 a.m. until the time of a funeral ceremony at 11 a.m. Monday at the Mountville Presbyterian Church, 2795 Mountville Road, Portersville, with the Rev. Don Hurray officiating.She will be laid to rest at the Mountville Presbyterian Church Cemetery.If desired, memorial contributions may be made in her honor in support of the Cancer Research Institute, National Headquarters, One Exchange Plaza, 55 Broadway, Suite 1802, New York, NY 10006 or www.cancerresearch.org.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E.
