Warren R. Carnahan

Warren R. Carnahan, 89, of Sarver passed away Thursday at Elmcroft of Saxonburg.

Born Oct. 26, 1926, in New Kensington, he was the son of Ralph Carnahan and Mildred Ross Carnahan.

Warren served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. During that time, he was a boxer.

Warren worked as a laborer for PPG in Creighton, retiring in 1988 after 45 years.

He loved horses, football, baseball, boxing, reading military history and playing the guitar.

Surviving are his son, Donald (Susan) Carnahan of Sarver; four daughters, Kathy (William) Molnar of Kittanning, Susan (Michael) Salsgiver of Gainesville, Fla., Ruth (Terry) Lyons of Bailey, Colo., and Cindy Tudor of Mebane, N.C.; his sister, Gertrude Laux of Worthington; 14 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Cora M. Lerner Carnahan, who died Jan. 10, 2013; his son, Jeffrey Carnahan; his brother, Charles Carnahan; two sisters, Vera Crane and Blanche Kamzalow; and one half-brother, Irvin Wilson.

CARNAHAN — Friends of Warren R. Carnahan, who died Thursday, Aug. 11, 2016, will be received from 10 a.m. to noon Monday at the Fox Funeral Home, Saxonburg. Services will follow at noon with the Rev.
