Betty Lou Garvin, 78, of Cabot passed away Saturday at the West Penn Hospital.

Born Dec. 16, 1937, in Cabot, she was the daughter of the late Blaine William Reith and Catherine Miller Reith.

She was a graduate of Winfield High School. Betty Lou worked in the laundry department of Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Fair Winds Manor and St. John LAS in Mars. She was a member of the Cabot United Methodist Church.

She loved puppies, watching TV, roller skating and cooking. She made the best peanut butter fudge and meatloaf.

Surviving are her daughter, Cheryl Garvin of Cabot; her sister, Annette Woolslayer of Cabot; her brother, Howard (Karen) Reith of Sarver; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Alice Barton.

GARVIN — Friends of Betty Lou Garvin, who died Saturday, Aug. 27, 2016, will be received from 10:30 a.m. to noon Tuesday at the Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.Services will follow at noon at the funeral home with the Rev. Jason McQueen officiating.Memorial donations may be made to the funeral home to help defray the expenses.
