Mary Louisa (Catlett) Gellner

Mary Louisa (Catlett) Gellner, 76, a longtime resident of Portersville, passed away Friday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Sept. 17, 1939, in Wheeling, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late William Homer and Ethel Marie (Nash) Catlett.

Mary was a 1957 graduate of Triadelphia High School in Triadelphia, W.Va. In 1982, she and her husband, Fred, proudly established Gellners Sales and Service in Portersville, where she was currently managing the parts department.

During her free time, Mary enjoyed latch hook rug making, decorating cakes and watching NASCAR, but above all, she cherished the time spent with her family. She will be most admired as a wonderful and loving wife, mom and grandma. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, three loving children, Brenda Moore and her husband, Daniel, Betty Kirkwood and her husband, David, and Brian Gellner and his wife, Rebecca; two adored grandchildren, Samuel Frederick Moore and Katelyn Grace Gellner; her brother, William H. Catlett and his wife, Francine; two sisters, Sarah Milliken and Roxie Patterson; two sisters-in-law, Marguerite Custer and her husband, Cliff, and Lily Snider; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 43 years, Charles Frederick “Fred” Gellner, who she married May 14, 1960, and who died July 19, 2003; her infant daughter, Laura Marie Gellner; and her brother, Clifford W. Catlett.

GELLNER — The family of Mary Louisa (Catlett) Gellner, who died Friday, Aug. 26, 2016, will welcome friends from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.Additional visitation will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday until the time of a funeral ceremony at 11 a.m. at the Presbyterian Church of Portersville, 1297 Perry Highway, Portersville, with the Rev.
