Zachary Robert Slomer
Zachary Robert Slomer, 23, of Volant, Plain Grove Township, Lawrence County, passed away Sunday at his residence.
He was born Aug. 23, 1993, in Butler. He received his GED from BC3.
His passion was bowling, which he was an avid bowler.
His hobbies included riding his quad and hunting. He also loved watching the Steelers and the Penguins and playing video games. He was noted among family and friends for his love of popsicles and popcorn, which he made homemade and mastered. He loved music and going to camp and spending time with his friends. He had a giant heart for all animals especially his cat, Meice, a word that stands for punk.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Laleana “Lee” A. and Todd Feevey at their home in Volant; his father, Donald J. Slomer Sr. of West Sunbury; two brothers, D.J. Slomer and Jakob Slomer of Volant; his maternal grandmother, Carol Mohr and Kevin Synowsky of Butler; his maternal grandfather, Martin Mohr of Pittsburgh; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Robert and Donna Slomer; and his uncle, Marty Mohr.
SLOMER — The family of Zachary Robert Slomer, who died Sunday, Sept. 11, 2016, will observe a celebration of life memorial service at 2 p.m. Saturday at their home.The Smith Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements.
