James R. Clemente Sr.
James R. Clemente Sr., 82, of Butler passed away Wednesday at UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born Jan. 16, 1934, in Millvale, he was a son of the late James and Angeline Abbott Clemente.
He had retired as a yellow cab driver in Pittsburgh after more than 40 years of service. He also worked for Kramer Wholesale Distribution Produce Co. in Pittsburgh for more than 28 years. He was a part-time jewelry repairman for his brother, Joseph Clemente Jewelers in Mount Lebanon.
He enjoyed buying, restoring and selling cars. He also enjoyed fishing and Western movies.
Surviving are one son, James R. Clemente Jr. of Butler; one daughter, Debra Jean Kohler of Karns City; two grandchildren, Kalina Jean Kohler and her daughter, Taylor Jean Cranmer, and Jamie Renee Clemente and her son, Noah Joseph Clemente; and one brother, Angelo Clemente of California.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol J. Boory Clemente, who he married Sept. 1, 1956. She died June 16, 2013. He was also preceded by three brothers and two sisters.
CLEMENTE — Friends of James R. Clemente Sr., who died Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2016, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday from St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler.
