Ronald Thomas “Ron” Plaszaj
Ronald Thomas “Ron” Plaszaj, 73, of Butler, passed away Wednesday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
He was born Sept. 25, 1943, in Pittsburgh, Pa., to the late Zigmund Plaszaj and the late Anna Korczynski Plaszaj.
Ronald was a founding member of the Living Word Free Evangelical Church in Butler. He worked for several years as a stationary engineer at the Federal Reserve Bank in Pittsburgh. Ronald loved to play with computers and electronics and spending time with his dog, Joy Joy.
He is survived by his two sons, Joseph Plaszaj of Canonsburg, Pa., and Kirk Patrick Heavner and his wife, Meredith, of Mars; one daughter, Karen Marie Hiebel and her husband, Thomas, of Belton, S.C.; four grandchildren, Catherine Hiebel, Emily Hiebel, Joseph Hiebel and Alexander P. Heavner; and three sisters, Dolores Williams of Pittsburgh, Pa., Teresa Lengyel of Munhall, Pa., and Diana Roche of Pittsburgh, Pa.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorene K. Kirkpatrick Plaszaj, who he married on May 6, 1992, and who passed away on Jan. 31, 2016.
PLASZAJ — Friends of Ronald Thomas “Ron” Plaszaj, who passed away Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Monday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E.
