Shirley A. Nulph

Shirley A. Nulph, 86, of Evans City passed away Friday at St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars.

Born Jan. 31, 1930, in Walkchalk, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Martha Hepler Bowser.

Shirley was a member of the Mars Alliance Church, where she also was a deaconess and a member of the Women's Missionary Group. For many years, Shirley was a baby sitter to many local children. She was involved in the Octoberfest Committee in Evans City and was a member of the Women's Sportsman Club. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children, Deborah A. (Robert) Tarbet of Evans City, Marsha K. (Marvin) Haines of Hockley, Texas, and Dennis C. (Barbara) Nulph of Evans City; her grandchildren, Margieann (Kevin) Green, Dorilyn Holmes, Stephen (Missy) Nulph, Kevin (Tammy) Nulph, Marvin Lee (Michelle) Haines and Martha Haines; her great-grandchildren, Talyson and Dalton Green, Gianna, Colin and Ethan Holmes, Marcus and Mya Haines and Brandon and Ryan Nulph; her step-great-grandchildren, Courtney, Shelby and Kylee Smith; and three sisters, Lois Young of Butler, Edith (Raymond) Johnston of Connoquenessing Township and Phyllis Bonzo of Butler.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Edward C. Nulph; her brother, Robert Bowser; and three sisters, Margie Bowser, Janet Bowser and Darlene Beahm.

NULPH — Friends of Shirley A. Nulph, who died Friday, Sept. 30, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.Additional visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of a funeral ceremony at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Mars Alliance Church, 997 Route 228, Mars. She will be laid to rest at the Evans City Cemetery.If desired, memorial donations may be made in Shirley's honor to the Alzheimer's Association, 1100 Liberty Ave., Ste.
