John “Jackie” Bowen
John “Jackie” Bowen, 66, of Butler passed away Wednesday at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born May 24, 1950, in Butler, to the late Caleb John Bowen and the late Opal Catt Bowen. John worked for PARC.
John was involved with Special Olympics. He liked to go bowling and play bingo. John loved trains.
John is survived by two brothers, Ron Bowen and his wife, Carol, of Haymarket, Va., and Randy Bowen and his wife, Laura, of Phoenixville, Pa.; one sister, Patti Selfridge and her husband, Michael, of Butler; one stepbrother, Mark McCandless of Butler; two stepsisters, Joyce McCandless of Butler and Barbara Jansen of Alexandria, Va.; former wife, Dottie Summers Bowen; his stepmother, Janet Bowen; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Jack had a big heart and was an immediate friend to all he came in contact with. He will be sadly missed by all.
BOWEN — A celebration of life for John “Jackie” Bowen, who died Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016, will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E.
