Joseph R. Snyder

Joseph R. Snyder, 89, of Butler passed away Wednesday at VA Butler Healthcare.

He was born Feb. 11, 1927, in Wick, Pa., the son of the late Louis H. and Josephine (Dubb) Snyder.

Joseph was a veteran of the U.S. Army and Air Force. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. He had worked as a heavy machinery mechanic.

Surviving are two daughters, Mary (Ken) Hall of Alabama and Suzanne (Jim) Hewitt of Virginia; three sons, William Snyder of Illinois, Joseph (Dusty) Snyder of Nevada and Daniel (Sue) Snyder of Butler; and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley A. (Lauth) Snyder; his granddaughter, Samantha M. Snyder; two sisters; and one brother.

SNYDER — Friends of Joseph R. Snyder, who died Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Paul Catholic Church, 128 N.
