Helen N.G. Artman
Helen N.G. Artman, 84, of Chicora, passed away Thursday at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Butler.
She was born June 16, 1932, in West Sunbury, the daughter of the late Gilbert Claypoole and Daisy (Pisor) Claypoole.
Helen was a member of Springdale Lutheran Church. She had been a cook and bartender at Spillway for 13½ years and also cooked at K of C. She enjoyed bingo, cooking and her cats.
Surviving are three sons, James Roxberry of West Sunbury, H. Samuel (Deb) Roxberry of West Sunbury, and Kenneth Roxberry of Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri; three daughters, Gene (Joyce) Franceschina of Newark, Del., Marjorie Bishop of Kyle, Texas, and Valerie Boyd of Butler; three stepsons, Lawrence Artman of Apollo, Gregory (Kathy) Artman of Elk River, Minn., and Alexander Artman of Corpus Christi, Texas; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Mary Sutton of Slippery Rock, Elsie Smitley of Jackson Center, Nellie (Jim) Shields of Forestville and Polly Stoughton of Chicora.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Artman, who died July 23, 2001; two brothers; and her daughter-in-law, Judy Roxberry.
ARTMAN — Friends of Helen N.G. Artman, who passed away Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St.Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Rev.
