4:52 a.m. Monday — An unknown male was reportedly seen looking into vehicles on Elm Street. By the time police arrived, the suspect was gone. He was described as wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and a back pack.
3:43 p.m. Sunday — Elizabeth Green of Summit Township lost control of her vehicle on snow- and icy-covered Route 8 south and struck the curb on the General Butler Bridge.
9:12 p.m. Wednesday — Michael A. Leon, 46, suffered an apparent drug overdose at his home in the 100 block of Pillow Street. Police said he was found unresponsive in a chair with a syringe in his hand. No one else was in the house. A medical crew treated and revived Leon. He is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
8:54 p.m. Wednesday — David D. Gould, 29, of Butler was arrested after he allegedly broke into a home in the 400 block of West Penn Street.
Police said Gould went to the house looking for the man who lived there. He knocked on the door but got no answer. The suspect at some point removed duct tape that was covering a missing window pane and then reached in and unlocked the door to get into the home, police said.
Gould was arraigned on a felony charge of trespass, and was released on his own recognizance.
[naviga:h3]State Police, Butler[/naviga:h3]
9:30 a.m. Thursday — A 17-year-old Philadelphia boy was arrested after he allegedly punched a teacher in the face at Summit Academy on Herman Road in Summit Township.
Police did not identify the suspect, who is charged in Butler County juvenile court with aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment.
A police report did nit indicate if the victim, Daniel Connelly, 28, of Cranberry Township, was injured.

Monday — Rebekah M. Schaelchlin, 21, of Slippery Rock was charged in an alleged shoplifting incident last week at the Ulta Beauty store at the Butler Crossing plaza.
Police said store security cameras captured Schaelchlin on video taking three items valued at $35. She is charged with retail theft.
9:06 p.m. Sunday — Michael H. Cervone, 30, of Butler allegedly took a vehicle on Acre Avenue. He is charged with felony counts of theft and receiving stolen property, and three misdemeanor counts of theft. Additionally, he is charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle, also a misdemeanor.
7:49 p.m. Saturday — Shane Polzer, 19, of Butler lost control of his car and struck a utility pole along Route 8. Police cited him for driving at an unsafe speed.
3:09 p.m. Saturday — Terry L. Snow, 59, and Terry A. Graham, 44, both of Butler were allegedly caught with suspected marijuana and other contraband following a traffic stop on Fairground Hill Road. Snow and Graham were passengers in the vehicle.
Both suspects are charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
12:06 p.m. Friday — A student at Butler Senior High School landed in trouble after allegedly causing a disturbance at the school. The suspect, who police did not identify, is accused of yelling, cursing and refusing to calm down. Police cited the student with disorderly conduct.
5:43 p.m. Nov. 15 — A vehicle driven by Theresa Moorcroft, 56, of Lyndora struck a deer on Route 8. No one was hurt, but the vehicle had to be towed.
Nov. 9 — Stephen A. Haley, 29, and Erin H. Cecere, 31, both of Butler allegedly got into a fight that eventually created a large disturbance on Evans City Road. Both suspects are charged with disorderly conduct.
[naviga:h3]Grove City Police[/naviga:h3]
Monday — Police charged Robert Lawrence, 67, of Grove City in connection with a hit-and-run accident Lawrence allegedly did not stop after his pickup truck struck a mailbox.
He was cited with leaving the scene of an accident without providing required information.
Monday — A bicycle that had been secured to a light pole on front of the Ace Hardware store on West Main Street since early October was turned over the police. The owner can claim the bike at the police station at 337 E. Pine St.
7 p.m. Friday — Two 15-year-old boys were caught inside a fence at 186 Lincoln Ave., where they were not permitted. Police cited both boys for trespass.
[naviga:h3]State Police, Kittanning[/naviga:h3]
4:40 p.m. Sunday — A 17-year-old Sarver boy driving a car rear-ended another vehicle on Route 28 north in Harrison Township, Allegheny County. A 16-year-old Sarver girl riding in the car suffered an apparent minor injury. She was taken to ACMH Hospital in East Franklin Township to be evaluated.
Police did not identify either teen. Ryan M. Smail, 32, of Tarentum, was the other driver.
The crash happened, according to police, when the teen driver took his eyes off the road to look at an unrelated wreck that happened moments earlier.
In that first crash, Michael C. Barlick, 51, of Valencia lost control of his vehicle on snow- and ice-covered Route 28 north and struck another vehicle, police said. Amanda M. Olbeter 34, of Harwick. Allegheny County, was the other driver.

4:50 p.m. Monday — Two shoplifters made off with $4,000 worth of merchandise from the Polo Ralph Lauren store at Premium Outlets in Springfield Township. A police report described the suspects as black males.
