Mary Eleanor Vinroe Miller

Mary Eleanor Vinroe Miller, 89, of Butler passed away Saturday at her home.

She was born Dec. 8, 1926, in Butler, to the late Leo Vinroe and the late Margert Kennedy Vinroe.

Mrs. Miller worked for Woolworth's in Butler as a sales clerk for 27 years before retiring. She was a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church and AARP. Mary enjoyed boating and bowling.

She is survived by her daughter, Darlene Miller of Butler; her son, Thomas Miller of Butler; a number of nieces and nephews; and a number of great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard W. Miller, who she married June 9, 1949, and who died Dec. 3, 2014; two sisters; and four brothers.

MILLER — Friends of Mary Eleanor Vinroe Miller, who died Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will immediately follow at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Alden Towberman of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating.Burial will take place at the Butler County Memorial Park.Online condolences can be given at www.thompson-miller.com.
