Butler County Historical Society at the Senator Walter Lowrie House Museum, 123 W. Diamond St., has the ninth annual “Back When ...” calendar available. Cost is $10. Visit www.butlerhistory.com.

Harmony Museum, 218 Mercer St., offers tours 1 to 4 p.m. daily, except when the museum is closed Mondays. Admission is $7 for adults, $6 for senior citizens, and $3 for youths 6 to 17. Call 724-452-7341.

PITTSBURGH

Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, 700 Frank Curto Drive, is open 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, and until 10 p.m. Fridays. Admission is $15 for adults, $14 for senior citizens and students and $11 for children 2 to 18. Visit phipps.conservatory.org.

Heinz History Center, 1212 Smallman St., will host “Hop into History” from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. Dec. 14 for 2 to 5 year olds and their caregivers. Hop into History is free for kids 5 and younger; adults pay regular admission of $16. Registration is required at www.heinzhistorycenter.org/events.

National Aviary, 700 Arch St., presents Brunch with Santa … and a Holiday Bird Show at 9 and 11:30 a.m. Sunday as well as Dec. 11. Cost is $45. Reservations are required. Call 412-258-9445. The Wings in Winter show continues through Jan. 2 between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. daily. Tickets are $5 in addition to general admission of $14 for adults and $13 for senior citizens and children 2 to 12. The aviary is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Visit www.aviary.org.

Children’s Museum, Allegheny Square, hosts “Tough Art” and “Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood: A Grr-ific Exhibit.” Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Admission is $16 for adults and $14 for children 2 to 18 and senior citizens. Visit www.pittsburghkids.org.

Carnegie Science Center, North Side, presents the Miniature Railroad & Village. Center admission is $18.95 for adults and $11.95 for children 3 to 12. Hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays through Fridays. The center is typically closed for Steelers home games. Visit CarnegieScienceCenter.org.
