Doris Jean Lefever
Doris Jean Lefever, 79, of Renfrew passed away at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday at her home.
She was born April 27, 1937, in Butler, to the late Harry D. Smith and Amy Irene Trappen Smith.
Mrs. Lefever was a 1956 graduate of Butler High School. She was a homemaker and in her earlier years she worked at Troutman's Department Store. Doris was a member of Connoquenessing United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women, and she also belonged to the Western PA Porcelain Artists Club. She enjoyed China painting, ceramics, bowling and traveling. Doris especially enjoyed being with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Larrie F. Lefever, who she married Feb. 28, 1957; three sons, David S. Lefever and his wife, Kathy, of Slippery Rock, Timothy L. Lefever and his wife, Candace, of Prospect, and Larrie J. Lefever of Renfrew; one daughter, Cathy S. Howryla and her husband, Randy, of Butler; six grandchildren, Matthew Howryla, Joshua Howryla, Scott Lefever, Andrew Lefever, Rachel Lefever and Cassandra Lefever; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.
LEFEVER — There will be no public visitation for Doris Jean Lefever, who died Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016.Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Connoquenessing United Methodist Church, 206 Main St., Connoquenessing, with the Rev. Bonnie Rupp, pastor of Connoquenessing United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will take place at the Butler County Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Butler Public Library, 218 N. McKain St., Butler, PA 16001, or to the Connoquenessing United Methodist Church, P.O.
