Edward L. Williams

Edward L. Williams, 100, of Richland Township passed away Monday.

Born Aug. 7, 1916, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Edward J. and Ada May Aston Williams.

He was the beloved husband of the late Elizabeth Murray Williams; the loving father of Susan Horlbeck of Ross, James E. (Valerie) Williams of Illinois, Thomas C. (Laurie) Williams of Sarver and the late Edward L. Williams Jr.; and the cherished grandfather of Alexis Sullivan, Jacqueline (Mike) Tyson and Nathan T. Williams.

He also is survived by four great-grandchildren: Chloe, Quinn, Rose and Miller.

He was preceded in death by six brothers, three sisters and one grandson, Matthew J. Williams.

Edward worked as a machine shop and fabrication superintendent and in quality control for U.S. Steel Corp., Blawnox Union Steel and ultimately Blawnox Equipment. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and collecting.

WILLIAMS — Family of Edward L. Williams, who died Monday, Nov. 14, 2016, will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Schellhaas Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 5864 Heckert Road. Bakerstown, where services will be at 10 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Gary Weston officiating. Interment will follow at the Jefferson Memorial Park.Memorial donations may be made to the Concordia Lutheran Home, 134 Marwood Road, Cabot, PA 16023.Please offer condolences at www.schellhaasfh.com.
