John A. Toomey

John A. Toomey, 74, of Butler passed away Saturday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Jan. 21, 1942, in Butler, he was a son of the late John L. and Sara J. Kron Toomey.

He worked in various departments at Armco Steel for 25 years, the latest being a steel inspector.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 778 in Lyndora and the Masonic Lodge in Penn Hills. He enjoyed watching professional football and watching his grandson play football. He also enjoyed hunting.

Surviving are two sons, Dan (Becky) Toomey of Butler and John Toomey of Harrisville, and two grandchildren, Daniel Z. and Shane Toomey.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

TOOMEY — Friends of John A. Toomey, who passed away Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E.
