Nathan K. Eakin

Nathan K. Eakin, 32, of Emlenton passed away Tuesday.

He was born March 2, 1984, in Grove City, to Kent A. Eakin and Lori Lackey Eakin.

Nathan was a graduate of Butler High School. He was a heavy equipment operator at Lornat and was a member of East Butler VFD.

Nathan enjoyed hunting, fishing and growing flowers. Above all, he was a loving and caring father and husband.

He is survived by his loving wife of 1½ years, Meloni Danik Eakin, who he married June 13, 2015; two sons, Isaac and Lane Eakin, both of Butler; two stepsons, Rick Kriess Jr. and Preston Green, both of Emlenton; one stepdaughter, Brianna Green of Emlenton; his parents, Kent and Lori Eakin of Herman; two sisters, Patricia Roth of Butler and Allison Eakin of Pittsburgh; and two nieces, Isabella Roth and Hanna Shuler.

Nathan was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Richard Eakin; his paternal grandmother, Patricia Eakin; and his maternal grandmother, Phyllis Lackey.

EAKIN — Friends of Nathan K. Eakin, who died Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2016, will be received 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Harry R. Bielewicz officiating.
