V. LaVerne Goodwin Bain
V. LaVerne Goodwin Bain, 89, formerly of Zelienople, passed away Sunday at The Grove, formerly Evergreen Nursing Center, Harmony.
Born Nov. 2, 1927, in White Oak, Allegheny County, she was the daughter of the late Frank E. and Violet L. Mains Goodwin.
LaVerne was a member of Harmony-Zelienople United Methodist Church.
She had retired from Mon Yough Community Services as a counselor.
She was preceded in death by one son, Barth G. Bain.
She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Bonnie J. Bain of Cranberry Township; three grandchildren, Victoria Bain, Parnell Bain and Michael (Danielle) Beres; four great-grandchildren, Ethan, Brooks, Eva and Cooper; and a niece and nephew, Carolyn Marts and William Marts.
The family would like to thank The Grove and its staff for their loving care.
