BUTLER CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE

Butler Church of the Nazarene, 4410 Oakdale Road and Route 68, has a 7 p.m. Good Friday service with Communion.

COVENANT PRESBYTERIAN

Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St., will present the Service of Darkness by Dale Wood at 8 p.m. today. The sacrament of Holy Communion will be celebrated during the service.

Covenant will participate in a joint worship service with other Presbyterian churches at noon on Good Friday at Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, 201 E. Jefferson St.

EAST BUTLER PRESBYTERIAN

East Butler Presbyterian Church, Ninth and Randolph streets, East Butler, has a worship service, including Holy Communion and the seven last words from the cross at 7 p.m. Good Friday

Faith Fellowship Alliance Church, 200 Faithway-Fared Drive, has a 7 p.m. Good Friday healing service.

First Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St., has Sunday school classes and an Easter Sunday worship service.

FIRST BAPTIST OF EVANS CITY

First Baptist Church of Evans City, 242 S. Washington St., Evans City, has a service at 7 p.m. Good Friday.

Easter Sunday breakfast is at 9 a.m. The Easter worship service is at 10:30 a.m.

FIRST ENGLISH LUTHERAN

First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St., has a Maundy Thursday worship service with Holy Communion at 7:30 p.m. Cellist Robin Hasenpflug will play a solo.

There is a family-friendly children’s service with activities at 10 a.m. Friday. A service of light and darkness is at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Easter Sunday festival worship services include Holy Communion. There is an Easter brunch at 9:45 a.m. Sunday and a children’s Easter Sunday school program at 10:05 a.m. downstairs.

The church office is closed Monday.

Bible study resumes at 10:30 a.m. April 20.

GRACE @ CALVARY LUTHERAN

The fellowship and service committee of Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St., meets at 10 a.m. Friday. The Good Friday service is at 7 p.m.

The Sonrise worship service is at 6:30 a.m. Sunday at Diamond Park. Take a chair and a breakfast dish. The Resurrection service is at 10 a.m.

RIDER LUTHERAN CHURCH

Rider Lutheran Church, 189 Rider Church Road, West Sunbury, has a Good Friday service at 7 p.m. and an Easter sunrise service with Communion at 7 a.m., as well as an Easter Sunday service with Communion at 10 a.m.

SAINT ANDREWS UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, 201 E. Jefferson St., has Communion during the 7:30 p.m. Maundy Thursday service.

The community Good Friday service is at noon at Saint Andrews.

Easter Sonrise service with Communion is at 7 a.m. Sunday at the Pleasant Valley Boat Launch on the South Shore at Moraine State Park. Take a chair and dress for the weather. A traditional Easter service is at 10:30 a.m. at the church with special music, including brass, the chancel choir, the KICK bell ringers and a youth wind ensemble.

ST. JOHN'S LUTHERAN

St. John’s Lutheran Church of Connoquenessing, 100 Main St., Connoquenessing, celebrates the Resurrection of our Lord on Easter Sunday with Holy Communion during the 11 a.m. worship service. There is a 9:30 a.m. Easter breakfast.

The Church Council meets at 6:30 p.m. Monday.

The April cause of the month is the St. John’s Cemetery Association.

The Community Good Friday worship service will be at 2 p.m. at the church with guest pastor Bonnie Fisher-Rupp.

ST. JOHN’S UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST

St. John’s United Church of Christ, 501 E. Main St., Evans City, has a joint Maundy Thursday meal and service at 6:30 p.m. with the congregation of Westminster United Presbyterian Church. Take a covered dish.

The Evans City community Good Friday cross walk begins at Ritzert Hall at noon and concludes with a community worship service at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.

Easter Sunday breakfast is at 9 a.m. followed by a 10 a.m. worship service.

ST. LUKE'S LUTHERAN

The confirmation and high school students of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 310 W. Main St., Saxonburg, lead the Maundy Thursday worship service at 7 tonight. The Good Friday Tenebrae service is at 7 p.m.

Easter Sunday worship services with Communion, organ, choirs and brass are at 8:15 and 10:45 a.m. There will be no 9:30 a.m. worship service on Easter. There is nursery care for 1½- to 5-year-olds at both services.

A special Easter Fellowship is from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the basement. Photographers will take family photos at 9:30 a.m. Sunday in the Koinonia Café.

ST. MARK'S EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN

St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. Jefferson St., has a 7 p.m. Maundy Thursday service with students receiving their first Holy Communion followed by a reception in the chapel.

There is a noon Good Friday worship service with Holy Communion and a 7 p.m. Tenebrae service.

There will be an Easter vigil with Holy Communion at 6 p.m. Saturday.

Easter Sunday services include Holy Communion.

The church office is closed Monday.

SUMMIT PRESBYTERIAN

Summit Presbyterian Church, 181 Caldwell Drive, takes part in a Maundy Thursday service at 7 p.m. today at Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church. The Good Friday worship service is at 7 p.m. at Jefferson Center Presbyterian Church.

The Easter egg hunt is at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Christian community outreach building, 650 Saxonburg Road.

Easter Sunday worship services are at 6:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. There are no small group studies.

TRINITY LUTHERAN
