Mary Jane Bauman
Mary Jane Bauman, 86, of Saxonburg passed away Thursday at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born Dec. 4, 1930, in Somerset, Pa., she was the daughter of Mirrel Kimmel and Florence Cooper Kimmel.
Mary Jane had worked at the Butler Farm Bureau, and the Saxonburg post office. She was secretary and treasurer for the former Clinton Fuel & Transport and Bauman Trucking, had a longtime affiliation with Lernerville Speedway and also had worked at Gateway Rehabilitation Center.
Mary Jane was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church, the Order of the Eastern Star and LIFE Butler County. She enjoyed making her famous ham barbecue sauce for Lernerville Speedway, sewing and cooking.
Surviving are two daughters, Deborah Bauman of Saxonburg and Barbara (Homer Jr.) Bartley of Saxonburg; five grandchildren, Alan J. (Michelle) Bauman, Adam S. (Ellisheva) Bauman, David E. (Bridgette) Bauman, H. Lee Bartley and Lindsay M. Bartley; and seven great-grandchildren, Isiah, Mackenzie, Jackson, Brody, Sophie, Hunter and Owen.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl H. Bauman on Dec. 27, 1985; one son, David E. Bauman; her sister, Dorothy Kimmel; and her brother, Roy Kimmel.

BAUMAN — Friends of Mary Jane Bauman, who died Thursday, March 30, 2017, will be received from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at the Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with Kent Thrower officiating.
