Kenneth Lee Sarvey
Kenneth Lee Sarvey, 70, of Butler passed away suddenly Wednesday.
Born June 17, 1946, in Butler, he was the son of the late Ralph and Beulah Aggas Sarvey.
Ken retired after 36 years working at U.S. Steel in Clairton. After two years of retirement, he returned to work for Central Maintenance as a janitor at the Evans City Elementary School.
He was the man of the house and loved his family. He enjoyed traveling, hunting, music, especially Elvis, grandchildren and his dog, Alvin. He will be remembered for being happy and always having a good laugh.
He is survived by his loving wife of almost 50 years, Donna Queen Sarvey, who he married Aug. 2, 1967; his son, Brian (Stephanie) Sarvey of Renfrew; four grandchildren, Becca Sarvey, Ashley Carothers, Jessie Sarvey and Matthew Sarvey; two great-grandchildren; his mother-in-law, Hannah Stiver of Slippery Rock; his siblings, Ralph Sarvey, Dean (Elsie) Sarvey and Glenna (Bob) Weichey, all of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Darla Carothers; one sister; and four brothers.
SARVEY — Visitation for Kenneth Lee Sarvey, who died Wednesday, April 12, 2017, will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Edward L. Raisley Funeral Home, 387 Main St., Prospect.The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Steve Cort, pastor at the Presbyterian Church of Prospect, officiating.
