FIRST BAPTIST OF EVANS CITY

The youth group of First Baptist Church of Evans City, 242 S. Washington St., Evans City, meets at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Keith’s house.

The men’s group, Foundations, meets at 7 a.m. Saturday at the church.

FIRST ENGLISH LUTHERAN

First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St., has a vacation Bible school rally day with refreshments, games and a puppet show from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Sunday in the social hall.

Dinner church, including Holy Communion, is at 5 p.m. Sunday.

GLADE RUN UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

The youths of Glade Run United Presbyterian Church, 1091 Pittsburgh Road, Valencia, have a year-end celebration at 7 p.m. Sunday in the church youth room. The celebration includes refreshments and recognizes graduating seniors. Families may attend.

GRACE @ CALVARY LUTHERAN

Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St., accepts donations of baked goods for Meals on Wheels Sunday morning in the kitchen. The baked goods should not have nuts or icing.

There is an evangelism and stewardship meeting following morning worship Sunday in the church library.

The women’s spring banquet is at 5 p.m. Sunday in the social hall. Take a dish to share.

GRACEWAY

GraceWay meets at Center Township Elementary School on Mercer Road.

Ernie Taylor and Trevor Ackelson provide music during Sunday worship.

The church accepts donations of breakfast items Sunday. The items are for Community Cares Ministry distribution in Butler County.

HILL UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Pittsburgh Theological Seminary student Bernard Nti is the guest speaker for the Sunday service at Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St. He is a chaplain at the Pittsburgh VA Hospital and a native of Ghana.

The choir rehearses at 9 a.m. Sunday and sings at the worship service. The Pentecost offering is Sunday.

The yarn group meets at 12:15 p.m. Sunday in the Hall Lounge.

MARS UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

The session of Mars United Presbyterian Church, 232 Crowe Ave., Mars, meets at 7 p.m. today in the board room.

There is a membership meeting at 12:15 p.m. Sunday in the board room.

The last regular youth groups meet at 5:30 and 7 p.m. Sunday.

There is a deacons meeting at 7 p.m. Monday in the board room.

NORTH MAIN STREET CHURCH OF GOD

North Main Street Church of God, 1201 N. Main Street Ext., has a community night of worship and prayers for the city of Butler at 7 p.m. Sunday.

Adult and teen challenge has a team at 312 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 312 North Main St.

The children’s ministry hosts a family picnic for children and their parents from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Carousal Shelter of Alameda Park. Dinner is at 6 p.m. Take a dish to share. The organizers will provide beverages and paper products.

RIDER LUTHERAN CHURCH

Rider Lutheran Church, 189 Rider Church Road, West Sunbury, begins its summer worship schedule May 28. There will be no Sunday school and the worship service begins at 11 a.m.

A celebration to mark the end of the Sunday school year is this week.

SAINT ANDREWS UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, 201 E. Jefferson St., elects new officers during a congregational meeting after worship Sunday.

The church honors high school and college graduates. Deliver graduation biographies to the church office by Monday for the newsletter.

The Backpack Initiative helps students in need have something to eat on weekends. To donate food, put it in the giant backpack in the narthex.

SAXONBURG MEMORIAL

Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church, 100 W. Main St., Saxonburg, has a yard sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

ST. LUKE'S LUTHERAN

St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 310 W. Main St., Saxonburg, has its Gardener’s Paradise and Pancake Breakfast from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

Parents night out is from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday in Centennial Hall.

Church Music Sunday and Holy Communion are at 8:15 and 10:45. a.m. Sunday.

The prayer ministry hosts a luncheon at noon Sunday in the fellowship hall.

The sanctuary is open for community quiet time and prayer at 6 p.m. Monday.

The church celebrates Music Appreciation Day at the 8 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. Sunday worship services. There is Holy Communion at all weekend services.

The confirmation class meets at 4:30 p.m. Sunday. Youths in grades 6 to 12 meet at 6 p.m. Sunday for a picnic in the courtyard.

Eve Bible study has its last meeting at 3 p.m. Tuesday.

There is an over-80s luncheon at noon Wednesday in the fellowship hall.

SS. PETER AND PAUL UKRAINIAN ORTHODOX

SS. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 21 Evergreen St., Lyndora, chants the third hour at 9:45 a.m. Sunday. Memorial Litia in remembrance of Metropolitan Constantine is at 10 a.m.

TRINITY LUTHERAN

The last day of Sunday school at Trinity Lutheran Church, 120 Sunset Drive, Center Township, is Sunday.

The outreach ministry meets at 9:45 a.m. Sunday.
