Man wanted in stabbing arrested at campground
SLIPPERY ROCK TWP — State police arrested a man wanted on charges he stabbed a person last week in Allegheny County
Troopers said a tip led them about 10:20 p.m. Saturday to David Interthal, 33, of Shaler, who was nabbed without incident at a campground in Slippery Rock Township, and turned over to Shaler police.
A day earlier, Shaler police obtained an arrest warrant for Interthal in connection with an early Friday morning stabbing in the township's Sharps Hill area.
Investigators suspect the defendant shortly after 4 a.m. stabbed one person with a knife, leaving the victim with unspecified injuries, according to a Shaler police report.
The injuries were not believed to be life threatening.
Interthal also is accused of threatening a juvenile with a knife, stemming from the same incident.
The defendant, police said, was reportedly seen driving away in a Jeep. A police bulletin was issued for Interthal's arrest.
Authorities did not immediately say why Interthal allegedly fled to northern Butler County.
He was arraigned on multiple counts each of aggravated assault, terroristic threats, reckless endangerment, simple assault and harassment.
He was placed in the Allegheny County Jail on $100,000 bail following arraignment.
