George Barry Brinser

George Barry Brinser, 70, of Cranberry Township passed away unexpectedly Wednesday.

Born Jan. 5, 1947, in Lancaster, Pa., he was the son of the late Hershey Brinser and Fannie Pearl Hollinger Brinser.

George retired from his career as a project manager in chemical engineering. He enjoyed sports of all kinds — but he especially loved playing, coaching and umpiring softball. Above all, he treasured the time he spent being with his family and traveling. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all his family and friends.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 28 years, Janet M. Stein Brinser, who he married Aug. 20, 1988; his four children, Heike (William) Fonzi and George Hershey Brinser, both of Moon Township, James (Kaitlin) Brinser and Molly Brinser, both of Cranberry Township; two granddaughters, Jenna and Alexa Fonzi; and his beloved dog, Luckie.

In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by two brothers, Hershey and James Brinser; and one infant daughter, Megan.

BRINSER — The family of George Barry Brinser, who died Wednesday, April 26, 2017, will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Boylan-Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home & Cremation SERVICES, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township. Immediately following the visitation time, a memorial service will be there celebrating George's life.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in George's honor to the Miracle League of Southwestern PA, P.O.
