James Roy Dambaugh

James Roy Dambaugh, 62, of Cranberry Township passed away Saturday in the comfort of his home surrounded by loved ones.

Born July 16, 1954, in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Warren E. Dambaugh and Margaret R. Riddle Dambaugh.

Jim was a member of the Plains Presbyterian Church in Cranberry Township. He was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh sports teams, a nationally ranked high school and collegiate swimmer and a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. Jim will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his family and many friends.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 23 years, Leslie Jane Helquist Dambaugh, who he married Sept. 25, 1993; his son, Elliott Dambaugh; his brother, Tim (Stacy) Dambaugh; his brother-in-law, Gary Murtland; two sisters, Peggy (Harry) Barkley and Mary Alice (Ted) Neuman; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his brother, Pete Dambaugh; and his sister, Susan Murtland.

DAMBAUGH — The family of James Roy Dambaugh, who died Saturday, April 29, 2017, will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Boylan-Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township.A celebration of Jim's life will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Derek Marotta officiating.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made in Jim's honor to the Miracle League of Southwestern PA, P.O. Box 1519, Cranberry Township, PA 16066, or to the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation (cholangiocarcinoma.org).Expressions of sympathy may be shared with Jim's family at www.boylanfuneralservices.com.
