Marlyn D. Woodside
Marlyn D. Woodside, 88, of Mars, formerly of Middlesex Township, died Thursday evening at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Wexford.
Born June 28, 1928, in Bellevue, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Col. Ivor J. and Elizabeth Gault Davies. She was a 1946 graduate of Oliver High School.
She then graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing, the first in her class, alpha summa cum laude. Marlyn had been a registered nurse for Butler Hospital and St. Francis Hospital North.
She was a member of Mars AARP and the First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown.
She was the mother of Beth (David) McMaster of Valencia and Linda (Martin) Costa of South Park; the grandmother of Justin (Vicki), Christy (Jim), Jennifer and Melissa (Andy); and the great-grandmother of Tyler, Lauren, Devlin, Zac (Darby), Shae, Dylan, Austin, Aubrey and Landon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert James Woodside; and her son, Robert Jeffrey Woodside.
