Betty J. Steffenauer

Betty J. Steffenauer, 87, of Butler passed away Monday at her home.

She was born Aug. 12, 1929, in Evans City, to the late Clarence McClelland and Emma Allen McClelland.

Betty was a member of Grace @ Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church. She worked as a sales clerk for 18 years at Troutman's Department Store and 24 years at Wal-Mart, retiring Aug. 12, 2016.

She is survived by two daughters, Karen Rose and her husband, Robert Grove, of West Sunbury, and Allyn-Joy Eraca and her husband, Dave, of North Port, Fla.; two sons, David Steffenauer and his wife, Jan, of Leland, N.C., and Donald Steffenauer and his wife, Elaine, of Bethel Park; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Donald “Butch” McClelland of Massachusetts, and Bill McClelland and his wife, Linda, of Evans City; four sisters, Mary Wilson of Brookville, Dorothy Chvala of Zelienople, Lois McAvoy of Zelienople, and Carol Sommmerville of Zelienople; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard G. Steffenauer, whom she married Feb. 8, 1949, and who died Dec. 7, 1985; four sisters; and two brothers.

STEFFENAUER — According to the wishes of Betty J. Steffenauer, who died MOnday, May 8, 2017, there will be no visitation or funeral services.Memorial donations may be made to Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Road, Renfrew, PA 16053 or to donor's favorite charity.Arrangements are being handled by Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E.
