Carol A. Burr

Carol A. Burr, 78, of Mars died Thursday evening at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born Feb. 10, 1939, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Claire Thompson Rettinger.

Carol was a school bus driver for A.J. Myers and Son for the Mars School District for many years.

She was a member of the Butler County Sheriff's Posse and had attended Life Pointe Alliance Church (Mars Alliance).

She enjoyed quilting, sewing, arts and crafts, flower arranging and especially riding her horses.

Surviving are her husband, Joseph A. Burr; two sons, Earl (Betty) Burr of Mars and Raymond (Brenda) Burr of Evans City; her grandchildren, Dylan, Chelsie, Michelle, Kevin, Josh and Abby; her great-granddaughter, Xochi; and her sister, Arlene (L.D.) Fitchette of Jacksonville, Fla.

BURR — Friends of Carol A. Burr, who died Thursday, May 11, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.Services will follow at 8 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev.
