Woman sentenced to prison
A Butler woman will be sentenced to several years in state prison, as well as 19 years of probation, after entering guilty pleas to 13 cases in Butler County Court on Tuesday.
Sarah Barkley, 28, will be sentenced to 2½ to 5 years in state prison and the probation on July 6, after entering pleas before county Judge Timothy McCune, to charges including felony possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, felony retail theft, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and many others.
In those cases, she pleaded guilty to misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia after an incident on Sept. 29, 2014, where authorities say she possessed stamp bags, spoons, syringes and crack pipes.She also pleaded guilty to misdemeanor conspiracy to theft by deception and theft by deception after an incident on Feb. 5, 2015, where authorities say she conspired with another person to obtain items from Walmart and complete false returns to the store.
