Paul Richard Eismann DVM
Paul Richard Eismann DVM, 73, of Butler passed away Tuesday at his home.
Born Nov. 3, 1943, in Buffalo, N.Y., he was the son of the late Edward Eismann and Virginia Cullinan Nuhn.
Paul was a U.S. Navy veteran. He graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in veterinary medicine.
Paul was the owner of Deer Creek Animal Hospital. He was a member of North Way Christian Community Church in Wexford, the A.V.M.A., the P.V.M.A. and an Aggie (Texas A&M University).
Surviving are his wife, Sheryl (Aikin) Eismann, whom he married June 9, 1979; his children, Shannon (Brian) Monson of Warrington, Katherine (Nathan) Johnson of Butler, Seth Eismann of Saxonburg, Joanna (Stephan Petersen) Eismann of N.H. and Nella Gery of Butler; grandchildren Jake, Reilly and Ellie Monson, Josie, Andy and PJ Johnson, Lucy Quertinmont, Sidney Eismann, Clara Petersen; and his brother, Kenneth (Lynne) Eismann of Williamsburg, Va.
Paul was a respected veterinarian in Butler, Saxonburg and surrounding areas. He enjoyed working as a large and small animal practitioner and spent most of his days caring for his patients.
Paul was an avid member of the Summit Township Sportsman Club. He also enjoyed spending time at his church camp in Dunkirk, N.Y., nights with his family and cooking for large groups. He loved God, his family, his country and his work.
EISMANN — Friends of Paul Richard Eismann, DVM, who died Tuesday, May 30, 2017, will be received 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.A service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.Memorial donations may be made to the Animal Care and Assistance Fund, which helps the local communities who are unable to pay for emergency medical care for their pets.
