Raymond Louis “Pooch” Kreutz
Raymond Louis “Pooch” Kreutz, 80, of West Liberty passed away Wednesday at Butler Hospital.
“Pooch” was born on March 25, 1937, in West Liberty to Albert Louis Kreutz and Ruth Dayton Kreutz.
He married Betty Grace Wolford on May 8, 1965. In 1997 he retired from General Electric, where he worked in maintenance.
“Pooch” attended the West Liberty United Methodist Church and was a U.S. Army Veteran, having served in the Military Police.
He loved golfing and sometimes golfed as often at four times a week. He enjoyed going on car cruises, hunting and fishing. He loved fishing on the first of trout season.
He is survived by his wife, Betty, at home; three sons, Todd A. Kreutz (Janet) of Slippery Rock, Scott A. Kreutz (Shari) of Slippery Rock and James A. Kreutz (Debbie) of Portersville; brother, James Kreutz of Slippery Rock; six grandchildren, Trent, Wolfgang, Drake, Kennedy, Jordyn and Braydon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Elmer, Albert and William; and sisters, Mary Christy, Betty Babics and Virginia Davis.
KREUTZ — Family will receive friends of Raymond Louis “Pooch” Kreutz, who died Wednesday, June 21, 2017, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Saturday at the Smith Funeral Home, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock.Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dan Miller, pastor of the West Liberty United Methodist Church, presiding.Interment will be in West Liberty Cemetery.Memorial contributions may be given to West Liberty United Methodist Church.
