Wilda Kathryn Beitle, 95, of New Castle passed away Sunday at Avalon Nursing Center in New Castle.

Born Jan. 25, 1922, in Brick Church, Armstrong County, she was the daughter of the late John Calvin and Margaret Levine Helfrick Schall.

Wilda will be remembered for working at different jobs in the food industry. She managed the kitchen at an elementary school in Virginia. She was a bookkeeper at Krispy Kreme. She worked the snack bar at the former Montgomery Ward in Butler and was a manager of the former Garden Gate in Prospect.

She was a caregiver to her husband, and she enjoyed her pet dogs.

She is survived by her two daughters, Judith Haller of Virginia and Kathy Beitle of New Castle.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, who she married March 30, 1944, and who died Jan. 7, 1994; one brother; and two sisters.
