Gary J. Holmes
Gary J. Holmes, 68, of Butler died unexpectedly Tuesday evening.
Born Dec. 4, 1948, in Pittsburgh, he was a son of the late Elmer S. Holmes and Bertha Ketterer Holmes.
Gary worked with the Carpenter's Union building and improving many homes. Following his retirement, he was working part-time at Home Depot in Butler. He enjoyed his dog, boating and was an avid bass fisherman.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Surviving are his daughters, Mindy (Adam) Mohney of Butler and Heather (Dan) Casey of Cabot; four grandchildren, Hunter, Libby, Jessica and Lydia; and one brother, Leonard (Marie) Holmes of Wilkes-Barre.
HOLMES — Friends of Gary J. Holmes, who died Tuesday, June 27, 2017, will be received from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.Funeral services will be at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home. The Rev.
