James William Rauschenberger

James William Rauschenberger

James William Rauschenberger, 62, of Monroe Falls, Ohio, formerly of Saxonburg, passed away July 3 at his residence following an illness.

Born July 6, 1954, in Peru, Ind., he was the youngest of eight children and was the son of the late William Franklin and Clarice Jeanette Rauschenberger.

Jim spent most of his younger years in Butler, where he met his wife, Janet Wehrmann. He was a 1973 graduate of Knoch High School. Together they moved to Pentwater, Mich., where Jim was a licensed builder.

Jim and Jan left Michigan and moved to Indialantic, Fla. where they lived with Janet’s mother, Eleanor Wehrmann, until her passing.

Jim was very creative and his passion was woodworking. He loved to make people laugh and gave nicknames to everyone in the family. He will be remembered as a kind and generous man with a great sense of humor. Always remember Jim Rauschenberger with a smile!

He is survived by his loving wife, Janet Wehrmann Rauschenberger, who he married Oct. 3, 1992; daughter, Jordan Rauschenberger of Mansfield, Ohio; two stepsons, Mark Wehrmann of Holton, Mich., and Erik Wehrmann of Austin, Texas; two grandchildren, Grant and Callum; two brothers, Frank (Joyce) Rauschenberger of Mansfield, Ohio, and Bernard (Nolene) Rauschenberger of Ellwood, Ind.; three sisters, Joyce (Ronald) Benson of Medina, Ohio, Sally (Howard) Sebkia of Clarion, Pa., and Linda (Gary) Powell of Cabot; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
