Helen M. Dicks

Helen M. Dicks, 101, of Slippery Rock, formerly of Mount Washington, passed away Wednesday at her residence.

Helen was born June 4, 1916, in Pittsburgh. She was the daughter of the late Christian Henry Wilker and the late Mary Rodway Wilker.

She had been employed as a telephone operator for Liberty Baker and a book keeper for Elias Distributors.

Helen is survived by three nieces, Mary Kennedy, Mary Ann Cook and Cheryl Stitch; one nephew, George “Cookie” Wilker; five great-nieces, Kristine Druckenmiller, Colleen Cook Parks, Holly Cook, Kristen Wilker and Balinda Wilker; four great-nephews, Eric Cook, David Wilker Jr., Keith Stitch and Scott Stitch; one great-great-niece, Nikola Parks; and one great-great-nephew, Dasius Druckenmiller.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, John “Jack” Dicks; two brothers; three sisters; three nephews; and one niece.

DICKS — Friends of Helen M. Dicks, who died Wednesday, July 19, 2017, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev.
