Kris T. Kennedy

Kris T. Kennedy, 64, of Butler passed away Tuesday at the Butler Memorial Hospital.

He was born July 2, 1953, in Meadville, to William Kennedy and the late Dorothy Hummel Kennedy.

Mr. Kennedy served in the U.S. Navy for four years. Later he worked for several years as an electrician for Jaden Electric, Fuellgraf Electric and Bronder Electric before being self-employed for the last seven years. He was a member of Foresters Fraternal Organization, the Local 5 IBEW and the First United Methodist Church, where he served in the choir. Kris was an avid Pittsburgh Penguins fan and enjoyed hiking, fishing, swimming and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Kathy J. Clark Kennedy, whom he married April 8, 1978; one son, Joshua Kennedy of Butler; one daughter, Jessica Saeler, and her husband, Trei, of Butler; his grandson, Evan Kennedy; his granddaughter, Mia Saeler; two brothers, David Kennedy and his wife, Patricia, of Meadville and Thomas Kennedy of Meadville; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Hummel Kennedy.

KENNEDY — Per the wishes of Kris T. Kennedy, who died Tuesday, July 25, 2017, there will be no public visitation.A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church, 200 E. North St., Butler, with the Rev. Eric Park officiating.Arrangements are being handled by the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to either the Youth Club or Music Ministry at First United Methodist Church, 200 E.
