Dorothy C. Love Graham

Dorothy C. Love Graham, 95, of Cameron Road, New Castle, Hickory Township, passed away Wednesday morning at her home.

She was born June 7, 1922, in New Castle, to John A. and Emma Mae Reynolds Love. On March 14, 1944, she married James William Graham, and he preceded her in death Jan. 19, 1981.

Dorothy was a homemaker who loved gardening, mowing grass and singing. She had been part of the duo “Dot & Jane Sunshine Pals” and sang on WKST radio for three years. She was a longtime member of Princeton Memorial Presbyterian Church.

Dorothy is survived by her son, James Arthur Graham of Portersville; three daughters, Patricia Joann Kern of Portersville, Judith Ann Brown of Volant and Deborah Jean Downing of New Castle; her sister, Betty Garrett of New Wilmington, Pa.; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers Martin, Arthur and Leroy; and two sisters Ruth and Grace.

GRAHAM — Calling hours for Dorothy C. Love Graham, who died Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2017, will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Smith Funeral Home, 1778 Perry Highway, Village of Leesburg, Volant, and the funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Leesburg ECO Presbyterian Church, 1831 Perry Highway, Volant. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery, New Castle.
