The final three compete in the meatball eating contest Sunday at the Butler Italian Festival.

Zane Hankey of Butler was crowned champion of the first meatball eating contest Sunday during the Butler Italian Festival.

Twelve people participated in the event, which tested their ability to quickly scarf down three meatballs each, made by Dolce Mia's Bakery in Butler, without the use of their hands.
