Grove City man arrested for DUI
A Grove City man was arrested for drunken driving after he was spotted going the wrong way on Fairview Drive in Slippery Rock Township. Police stopped him on South Main Street.
Police got to the vehicle of Damien E. Wilson, 30, and noticed his front-seat passenger was unconscious. Wilson told officers that the passenger, Jeb M. Cook, was passed out from “drinking too much alcohol,” according to court documents.
State police arrived on scene and one of the troopers gave Cook a sternum rub but was unable to awaken him. Trooper Joseph Titler noticed needle tracks on Cook's hand and subsequently administered two doses of Narcan, a drug used to reverse opioid overdoses.
Cook regained consciousness. When he got out of the vehicle, documents said, police noticed a syringe fall from his lap.
Wilson submitted to a portable breath test which indicated he had alcohol in his system.
He is charged with driving under the influence and going the wrong way on a one-way street.
