Christine Elaine Studeny
Christine Elaine Studeny, 58, of Renfrew passed away Friday surrounded by her family after an extended illness while under the care of UPMC Presbyterian.
Born on Jan. 10, 1959, in Akron, Ohio, she was the daughter of Barbara Tucci Walters and the late William Walters.
Christine was a member of St. Fidelis Parish. She was a 1977 graduate of Butler High School. She then went on to further education at Duquesne University, where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in English in 1981 and her law degree in 1984.
Following graduation, she worked for the Social Security Administration and for Neighborhood Legal Services. For the past 17 years, she served as an assistant district attorney for Butler County until her health no longer permitted. During that time, she was very active with Butler County's Domestic Violence program and with VOICE.
Christine loved to crochet. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 26 years, Joseph E. Studeny, whom she married on Aug. 16, 1991; her children, Katherine E. Studeny, at home, and Joseph B. Studeny of Coraopolis; her brothers, David N. Walters and his wife, Penny, of Slippery Rock, and Scott Walters; her nephew, Alex Walters, and the cats she loved.
In addition to her father, Christine was preceded in death by one brother, Billy, and one sister, Sheilah Price.
STUDENY — Friends and family of Christine Elaine Studeny, who died Friday, Aug. 18, 2017, will be welcomed Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTER, Connoquenessing Twp., 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church, 125 Buttercup Road, Renfrew, with the Rev.
