Robert C. “Bob” Fennick
Robert C. “Bob” Fennick, 75, of Butler passed away Friday at his home.
He was born Oct. 23, 1941, in Butler, to the late Ralph Joseph Fennick and the late Edith Louise Church Fennick.
Bob served in the U.S. Marine Corps in Okinawa, Japan, and then later in the National Guard. He then worked as a roller in the stainless finishing department at Armco for 35 years and continued to work at AK Steel for an additional 14 months before retiring in 2001.
Bob was a member of the Faith United Presbyterian Church. He was a past president of the Crowne Point HOA. Bob was a Civil War buff and enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, watching Western movies, and also watching the Blue Sox, Pirates and Steelers play.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Ann Fennick, whom he married Dec. 23, 1961; two sons, Robert J. Fennick of Butler and William R.; two daughters, Cynthia L. Reott of Pittsburgh and Beth A. Christy and her husband, Jeffery, of Chicora; nine grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; two brothers-in-law; three sisters-in-law; two nieces; and four nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William R. Fennick.
