Carol McBride
Carol McBride, 77, of Harrisville passed away peacefully on Monday at her home, where she lived most of her life, surrounded by her loving family.
Carol was born April 13, 1940, between Nectarine and Barkeyville and was the daughter of the late Arthur D. Coast and Ruth A. Surrena Coast.
Carol received her education from Van Dyke School and also from Grove City High School.
Carol was married to William McBride and together they celebrated 61 years of marriage.
Carol's life was full of pride for the family and the life she and her husband, Bill, had made. Carol and Bill ran the family's dairy farm for many years with the help of her children. She loved her family's homestead, the Coast Homestead, where the farm is located.
Carol lived most of her life in the farmhouse. She passed away in the same room of the farmhouse that her grandmother did years earlier.
Carol kept home for her five children and her husband and worked side by side with her husband in the daily chores involved with having a dairy farm. Carol was not afraid of hard work and passed that important lesson along to her children. Carol's love of family was felt when she spoke of her grandchildren and their accomplishments.
Loved ones left to cherish Carol's memory are her husband, Bill, of Harrisville; her five children, Faith Schleifer and her husband, Mike, of Franklin, Charity Welton of Ohio, William McBride Jr. of Franklin, Rick McBride and his wife, Beverly, of Clintonville and Jason McBride and his wife, Kathy, of Harrisville. Carol also leaves 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, David Coast of Harrisville; and a sister, Sarah Calvert and her husband, Bob, of Mercer. Carol also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.
Carol was welcomed into heaven by her parents, her brother, Clair Coast, and her nephew, Jeremy Coast, who passed away June 11, 2015.
