Merle D. McMaster
Merle D. McMaster, 87, of Lewes, Del., passed away Monday at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes.
He was born Oct. 19, 1929, in St. Petersburg, Pa., the son of the late John Harvey McMaster and Nina Matilda (Craig) McMaster.
Mr. McMaster retired in 1994 as president of the Teledyne Rodney Metals Division of Teledyne Corp., based in Los Angeles, Calif., with holdings throughout the world. He began his career in the audit department of the company and was very adept at numbers and watching the financials for the company.
Mr. McMaster was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army.
He enjoyed a game of golf when time permitted and loved sailing, especially in the New England area.
Mr. McMaster is survived by his wife, Jacqueline D. McMaster; four children from his previous marriage, Craig (Becky) McMaster of Mars, Belinda (John) Mesko of Irwin, Scott (Dianne) McMaster of New Castle and Michelle (Mike) McMaster of Gibsonia; six grandchildren, Jason, Pete, Rachel, Ryan, William and Christina; three great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Madison and Greyson; and his former spouse, Barbara McMaster of Valencia.
MCMASTER — Visitation for Merle D. McMaster, who died Monday, Aug. 28, 2017, will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, Del.
