C. Richard “Dick” Weibel,

C. Richard “Dick” Weibel, 90, of East Brady died Monday at Clarview Rest Home in Sligo.

Born Aug. 5, 1927, in East Brady, he was the son of William F. and Mabel C. (Schott) Weibel.

On Oct. 25, 1952, Dick married Betty Jean Van Dyke, who survives.

Dick was a U.S. Navy veteran and served during World War II.

For 30 years, Dick was a local furniture and appliance salesman. He was a member of St. Eusebius Church, where he served as an usher.

Dick enjoyed fishing, tinkering around and fixing broken items. He could always be seen taking his daily walks around East Brady.

Dick was a wonderful grandfather and was active in his grandchildren's lives, always attending their sporting events and activities.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Jean Weibel, of East Brady; one daughter, Kim and her husband, Mark Bole, of Rimersburg; two sons, Jay and his wife, Diana Weibel, of Karns City, and Steven and his wife, Diane Weibel, of East Brady; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Dick is also survived by one brother, Glen (Kay) Weibel, of Seybertown; and two sisters-in-law, Ruth Kelly and Lois Cochrane.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and two brothers.

Richard “Dick” Weibel, who died Monday, Sept. 11, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Buechele Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 707 Kellys Way, East Brady.A veterans service will be held at the funeral home at 6 p.m. Thursday.Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, at the funeral home with the Rev.
