Raymond C. Brenneman
Raymond C. Brenneman, 82, of Portersville died Thursday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.
He was born May 24, 1935, in Perry Township, Lawrence County, and was the son of John Carr and Bertha (Young) Brenneman.
He was employed by Frank McConnell in Portersville in the plumbing, heating and air conditioning business.
Raymond attended the Presbyterian Church of Portersville and was known and respected in his community. He could fix anything and was an avid hunter and fisherman, who loved spending time with his family. He loved bluegrass music and camping.
Raymond is survived by his wife, Peggy (Michaels) Brenneman, whom he married Oct. 23, 1954; also by one son, John Brenneman of Portersville; three daughters, Patti Grandinetti of Portersville, Wanda (Sam) Mathias of Portersville, and Nancy Brenneman of Slippery Rock; four grandchildren, Dan, Amber (Matt), Tony and Rachel; and four great- grandchildren, Kydance, Avalise, Darius and Bradley.
He was preceded in death by one brother, James Brenneman; two sisters, Bessie Kelley and Jennie Kane; and by a half sister and two half brothers.
BRENNEMAN— There will be no public visitation for Raymond C. Brenneman, who died Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Presbyterian Church of Portersville, with the Rev. Dana Opp officiating. Burial will be at the Presbyterian Church of Portersville Cemetery immediately following the service.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Presbyterian Church of Portersville, or to the Butler VNA Inpatient Hospice.Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Jay Bryan Funeral Home, 443 Main St., Prospect.
