Carol Lee Fleeger, 67, of Butler passed away on Thursday.

She was born July 10, 1950, in Indiana, Pa., to the late Grover P. “Rusty” Foltz and the late Louise P. (Valyo) Foltz.

Carol was a graduate of Indiana Hospital School of Nursing, class of 1971 and worked as a registered nurse for Indiana and Butler Memorial Hospitals, VNA, New Haven Court and Hospice. She also was an Aarons Minister and would lead Sunday worship for a number of Lutheran churches in the area.

Carol was an avid reader. She enjoyed her puppies and raised Labradors with her husband for about 15 years.

Carol was an active volunteer across all aspects of the church, including visiting shut-ins and was a communion assistant.

Carol is survived by her husband, Harold E. “Hal” Fleeger, whom she married Nov. 17, 1973; two sons, Jason K. Fleeger and his wife, Sara of Butler, and Chad M. Fleeger and his wife, Bobbi Rodgers of Carnegie, Pa.; and two grandchildren, Kerrington and Jameson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one infant sister, Debbie.

FLEEGER — Friends of Carol Lee Fleeger, who died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler. Further visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 201 W. Jefferson St., Butler, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m., also at the church, with Pastor James Neal, officiating, along with Robert Niggel, Aarons minister at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, also officiating.Private burial will take place at Greenlawn Burial Estates.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to VNA Inpatient Hospice, 115 Technology Drive, Butler, PA 16001.Online condolences can be given at www.thompson-miller.com.
