Cranberry Township board of supervisors on Thursday:

Approved the Commodore Perry Regional Trail Plan. The trail is an effort between Cranberry, Jackson and Adams townships, and Pine and Marshall townships in Allegheny County, to connect green spaces in all the municipalities and eventually connect to larger trail systems like the Rachel Carson Trail in North Park.

Granted final land development approval to the phase 2A of the Village of Cranberry Woods, a four-floor continuing care/personal care facility in the Cranberry Woods development. The 235,724 square-foot facility will have 183 units located on 7.5 acres.

Awarded a contract to Land Clearing Specialists for $49,444 for woodland management at Cranberry Highlands Golf Course.

Authorized advertisement of a public hearing on Dec. 14 on rezoning properties along Rochester Road from CCD3 overlay to CCD2 overlay. The CCD3 overlay is too dense for development to occur in this area, said Ron Henshaw, township director of planning and development services. CCD2 will fit better for future development and have less impact on the traffic network in the area, he said.

Authorized advertisement of the possible adoption of the International Property Maintenance Code on Dec. 7.
