Ronald A. Passarelli
Ronald A. Passarelli, 71, of Butler, passed away Sunday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born Aug. 30, 1946, in Natrona Heights, he was the son of Norrie Passarelli and Elizabeth (Ippolito) Passarelli.
Ron was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and worked as a chemist for Gulf Research in Harmar Township and Penn Champ, Inc., in East Butler. He also owned and managed several apartments in the Butler area.
He was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman. He was a founding member of the former Saxonburg Lions Club and played in the Northern Allegheny County Senior Softball League for 16 years.
He enjoyed gardening, especially flowers, remodeling and being a general handyman for his family.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy (Alexander) Passarelli, whom he married Nov. 8, 1969; his son, Ryan A. (Natalie) Passarelli of Butler; two daughters, Dr. Angela (David Macias) Passarelli of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., and Pamela (David) Sherrill of Mooresville, N.C.; his brother, David Passarelli of Sarver; and five grandsons, David and Andrew Sherrill, Eli and Jackson Passarelli, and David Alejandro Macias; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and his sister-in-law, Linda Passarelli.
