Douglas Charles Appel
Douglas Charles Appel, 66, of Orlando, Fla., passed away Wednesday.
Doug was born and raised on Long Island, N.Y. He moved to East Brady, where he married Joyce Hollobaugh and had his own shop, Appel's Auto Body.
Doug was a member of Sherrett United Methodist Church in Sherrett. He later moved to Orlando, Fla., where he owned and managed Precision Collision and Restoration body shop in Winter Park, Fla.
He is survived by two sisters, Bonny Atkins and Debra Ahrens, of New York; his sons, Dustin Appel and Chris (Tiffany) Appel; and his granddaughter, Piper, of Orlando, Fla.
Doug is also survived by Bonnie Patsy; his stepchildren, Larry Stewart and Heidi McDaniel; and his stepgrandchildren, Mathew, Taylor and Amanda.
APPEL — Memorial services for Douglas Charles Appel, who died Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2017, will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, followed by reception from 4 to 6 p.m., at Carey Hand Cox-Parker Funeral Home Chapel, Winter Park, Fla.There are plans for a celebration of life later in Pennsylvania.
